The Ijaye bodice patchworked from floral and woven cloths, set over a yerin striped in red and cream that falls straight to the floor. The gele is sculpted to carry the same weight as the cloth. Made for the senior women at a family ceremony. Assembled and finished entirely by hand.
Each piece is finished by hand in our atelier; slight variation in weave and dye is the signature of authentic African craft.
Dry clean only. Store flat or padded. Beadwork should be handled gently. Hand-dyed pieces may deepen beautifully with age.
