Balogun Ijaye

A patchwork agbada built from a dozen cloths chosen to sit together — print against weave, bronze against tobacco — and joined panel by panel so the seams fall as part of the pattern. No two are ever quite alike. Worn here with the beaded crown and a feathered staff, for installations and the grandest traditional ceremonies. Entirely hand-assembled in the Lagos atelier.

Each piece is finished by hand in our atelier; slight variation in weave and dye is the signature of authentic African craft.
