Egba Kimono
Crimson and amber cape over a striped waistcoat and wide-leg trousers, cut for modern ceremony.
A short cape in crimson, cut with amber panels that open across the shoulders and finish in a hand-knotted fringe. Beneath it sits a sleeveless waistcoat worked in fine ladder stripes — oxblood ground, gold and orange rungs — with the same stripe run down the outside seam of wide-leg trousers so the line carries from shoulder to hem. The trousers are cut full and deliberately heavy, holding their fall as the wearer moves. Styled here over a plain black tee with a tasselled cap and strands of coral, it is dressed for a man who wants the weight of ceremony without the full gown: a photo shoot, a festival, an evening where the dress code is his to set.
Each piece is finished by hand in our atelier; slight variation in weave and dye is the signature of authentic African craft.Returns & Exchanges
